The trip from Portsmouth, Dominica to Terre D`en Haut in Iles De Saints. In the anchorage of Terre D`en Haut there was another fort called Fort Napoleon that we went to visit with my friends, Oliver and Bauf.

Fort Napoleon was built in 1867 and was partly used as a jail and partly as a watch tower. When I was there I saw two young, green iguanas.

About half a mile from Terre D`en Haut there was another small island called Ilet a Cabrit where there was ruins of an old hotel and a beach with loads of scuttling crabs which I caught by digging down their tunnels after them.

After spending a while in Iles De Cabrit we sailed to Guadeloupe. We stayed in Guadeloupe for just over a week. My two favourite places were Pigeon Island national park and Deshaies (pronounced day-hay). The national park around Pigeon Island was brilliant for snorkelling. The water was very clear and we saw loads of brilliantly coloured fish and coral. Before we went over in the dingy to the island Jay, Mum and I got the scuba tanks filled with air and I had my second attempt at using the oversized scuba equipment !! Also, dad towed Jay and I behind the dingy around Pigeon Island with our snorkels on and I saw a big swordfishes head lying on the seabed which was strange because fishing was strictly prohibited in that area.
