Here is your long-awaited update on our travels:
After St Pierre in Martinique we did a 10 hour passage overnight to Dominica. The nearest place to anchor was Dominica's capital, Roseau but it was to deep and rolly so we travelled for a few more hours to get to another anchorage called Portsmouth. In all, the trip took 11 hours ; 2:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
We stayed in Portsmouth for about 3 weeks doing loads of stuff . My favourite thing was when we hired two mopeds and scooted around the north of Dominica. Most of the time Mum or Dad were driving but twice I got to drive. We went to Capucin, Calabishe and Chaurie falls where went swimming an saw a big orange crab.Another of the things that we did was a camping trip from the Tito Gorge to the boiling lake. We hired a car for it and camped overnight at the bottom of the walk so we could start early. the walk too us past the valley of Desolation where there were lots of stinking geysers, a strong smell of sulphur and bubbling puddles. The lake at he top of the walk was apparently 90C !! The other two things were the walk we did from Capucin to Penville where we saw a banana farmer, lots of grapefruit and a friendly donkey and the repainting of we warrior with the help of an artist called Felix.
The day before we left for Ilse De Saints I met an english boy called Oliver who was ten years old on a boat called Whistling Maid I had great fun with him sailing in his Nutshell sailing dinghy.
