Back at the house

On Monday, Humphrey gave us a lift all the way from their house back to the house-sitting house near La Vinuela. It is quite a long drive back ,about 3 hours, so we were lucky he had the time to take us. Our car was still at the garage then being repaired and was expected to be ready to be picked up on Friday so we couldn't drive it back.

We got back at about midday and .because of the altitude difference, we all had sore heads. Another thing I found when we came back down from the mountains of the A******* was that it was a lot easier to breath and I could walk around without flaking out!

The work on the house is still going on but were still waiting for the money for supplies like paint and stuff.

Earlier this week, the electricity man came to give us a notice saying that ,due to failure to pay bills since the start of the year, our electricity was to be cut of next week! We phoned the house owner ,Juine, who thought the bills had been paid, and she said she would sort it out for us. It was a bit of a surprise though when the utility man turned up we new nothing about the €124 bill!

Lastly, we're still scrambling away trying to get Christmas stuff prepared, It's difficult around here though because there are very few shops close-by. The Australians (Chris and Laura) have planned to come and see us for new year when it comes after spending Christmas day in Edinburgh.
