Nana and Grandad’s visit – part 1

As you probably know, Nana and Grandad came to visit us in Spain for two weeks. They arrived on the 13th and left on the 27th of March
In total, we stayed in 3 different houses during their stay. First, we stayed in the house in La Vinuela which we did our first house-sit in.  We stayed there for 4 warm, glorious days before going back up into the colder Alpujarra to stay in Neil's house for 3 days. From there, we stayed the next week in a rental house further up in the Alpujarra near a town called Pitres. The house was at 1000m(ish) and about 30 minutes by car from Orgiva (although it took Dad and I 4 hours by bike as there was so much uphill).
During the holiday we did so much stuff including showing Nana and Grandad the area by car,  we had 2 BBQs, went cycling, visited Trevelez where they make Jamon Cerano (it is also one of the highest towns in Spain), eat out a lot as well as stopping for countless cups of coffe! Also, I wrote a peom for Nana and Grandad:

Our Holiday
To Nana and Grandad:

It's been great having you here in Spain,
although there has been a bit of rain,
with Grandad wearing his holy hat,
and the tartiflette making us all fat,

And Nana's jamon expedition,
as well as the Chinese checkers expedition,
the things we did... we had such a crack,
I wonder what you'll say when you go back?

Well as I said, it's been really great,
and as you can imagine I can't wait,
till May when we will meet again,
and I will miss you until then.

I will put another post up soon with pictures and more details about some of the stuff we did.
