We’ve been here a few days now and we’re still finding our feet around here. We had quite heavy rain over the weekend and on Friday so not much happened then. I’m in charge of getting the wood here like I was in charge of getting the water when we were on Sea Warrior so I’ve been scouting around for it a bit. Yesterday (Monday) I asked some Spanish men where I might find some and I ended up getting 4 courgettes (not a misunderstanding, he was just being friendly)!! I started school again yesterday as well.
We came here to house-sit for the landlady - who is trying to sell the place – and to sort it out a bit for potential buyers. She is in England most of the year so she needs help. The house needs a lot of work. Jay and I have to do 3 hours a day of work on the house and I also do 3 hours of school per day (Monday-Friday). I get the weekends off work and school to do other stuff so it’s all good .
For those who don’t know what house-sitting is, it is a system ,like WWOOFing where people come to live in other peoples houses while they are away for free (most of the time) for security reasons (again only most of the time). Thats what we’re doing except we’re also fixing the house up.
