Since last post we have moved the boat down to the bottom of the River Guadiana (yesterday), my computer has been broken and then fixed with the help of our friend Elly, we have started work on the sanding and varnishing of the wooden gunnels and wooden railings of the boat and in a couple of weeks we are going to house-sit/WWOOF in a house near Malaga in Spain.
My laptop,
had it’s first major fault since I got it ,about 5 months ago. It said “BOOTMGR is missing” when it was trying to boot up. Elly ,who we new was a real genius with these things, helped me to fix it. We must have spent a total of about 7 hours working on the laptop in the end!! We finally managed to fix it after loads of “radical movements” involving formatting the hard-drive and other geeky things. All this just because I tried to install Ubuntu (a distribution of Linux). My laptop’s fine now and all I lost were my favourites.
Like I said, we might be/probably will go to house-sit near Malaga soon.The house is owned by an English lady who lives in England and only comes to the house occasionally. She wants some people to stay in the house (us) to sort it out a bit for selling. It’s a finka and so is a basic place but it’s still a house and we might (just might) be in it for christmas!!
