Our time in Scotland

The homecoming to Scotland

For the last two months we have been in Scotland to visit everyone and sort out some things at Dunolly (my Mum and Dads old business).
It has been absolutely fabulous, seeing everybody again.

These are just some of my relations including Nana and Grandad.

We also had mum’s birthday there.I gave her a box of chocolates and Jay gave her a mirror that she had decorated herself!! We went to see almost everybody, Nana and Grandad, Nana and Papa, our cousins and our friends.

My Nana and Papa live in North Kessock beside Inverness. This is in their front garden.

This is Jack, Ben, Tara and I. They are some of my cousins.

This is Dad,Billy and I at the top of Ben Rhines.

I also made some new friends, one of them was a boy called William Mcturck and another was also a boy called Billy. I met them both at Findhorn week (Findhorn is where my Nana and Grandad live).Findhorn week is like a festival where lots of people set up stalls with games, activities and food beside the beach. It is great fun. Also, at Findhorn week there were lots and lots of dingy races which Jay, Dad ,Mum and I took part in. Although none of us had our own boats we got to borrow boats from the Findhorn sailing club and Findhorn Boatyard!!! The two boats that I sailed in were called a Wayfarer world and a Graduate which is my Papas boat. Another thing that we did was to walk up Ben Rhines.

We went land yachting on the beach at Findhorn.

It was also Auntie Hilary’s (she is my cousins mother) Birthday when we were in Scotland. On her birthday we walked up a small hill with a group of about 130 other friends of hers!!!! She got a canoe for her Birthday.

These are only some of the people that came up the hill on Auntie Hilarys Birthday !!!

During the time that we were in Scotland Grandad lent us his Boat called Strandbo and we used it to go down the caledonian canal. It was fun. It is a light boat so it is very different to Sea Warrior because it is much easier to sail and helm. Each time we went through a lock gate I would get off and help the lock keeper to open the gates with the hydraulic controls!! Here are some pictures.

This is Strandbo tied up along side a pontoon.

This is me helping the lock keeper to open he gates. The controls are in the big black box.
